Dear Self-proclaimed WoW Badasses
Maybe I need to stop reading the forums. Every now and then, a post makes me angry. But in the past, my frustrations have slowly vanished until I was calm enough to say 'screw it' and not write to you in a fit of temper.
This time?
I am pissed and frustrated.
With the computer problems I had the last couple weeks, I didn't do a lot of research on the whole Theramore's Fall scenario. I knew that for the first week, a level 85 character would be able to participate.
Last night, I asked a friend if she was aware of any ilvl requirements to queue for it. She wasn't, so this morning I did some digging and came across this:
Your ticket to ride is your level. If you don't have anyone to go into the Scenario with, we can provide people to group with via the queue.
Wonderful! I continued to read through this thread, and found this:
I just went back to verify this further to make sure I wasn't giving incorrect information. (Sorry for the confusion folks.) There is also an item level that goes with it. At level 85 Theramore's Fall is set to item level 353. At level 90 the item level is currently set for 425.
Not so wonderful. But this isn't where my rant comes from, at least not entirely. No.
My rant stems from all of the players in this thread (and others I've seen) who talk down to anyone who doesn't do dungeons, raids, or PvP. I realized when I started playing this game that I'd never see current end-game content. I was fine with that. I play this game for fun.
Everyone has their own reasons for playing. But my reasons do not make me less of a person than your reasons. I don't run around and say "You have 20 max-level, fully geared characters. You have no fucking life." So why should people be able to say I'm lazy because I choose to not run dungeons or PvP? How the fuck does that make me lazy?
Someone else mentioned in the thread that they were disabled. So now you have the douchebags jumping on and insulting people with disabilities, which just pisses me off even more.
I know I shouldn't take things I read on the internet to heart. But every once in a while, something just makes my temper flare, and this is one of them.
